About the Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the office and, working closely with the Office Manager, participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of office practices and procedures. Key duties include arranging transport and booking outpatient appointments as necessary. You will assist in maintaining a safe environment for patients and visitors by understanding and adhering to health and safety regulations, including Fire and Health and Safety procedures. You will also ensure that adequate stock levels of stationery and clinical equipment are maintained at all times. The role involves carrying out a range of administrative tasks and providing cover for other administrative and secretarial staff as required. Additionally, you will assist the team with audits and provide non-clinical advice and information, acting as a patient advice and liaison officer.
Experience
Previous experience in an administrative role is desirable, particularly within a healthcare or community setting. Experience in managing office procedures and supporting teams is advantageous.

You should be organized, proactive and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach are essential. You must be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are mandated; however, proficiency in office software and administrative systems is expected. A willingness to learn and adapt within a healthcare environment is important.
