About the Role

Brent Council is committed to reducing homelessness and rough sleeping, supported by funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government for Tenancy Sustainment posts. As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will work with individuals who have experienced homelessness to help them sustain their tenancies and achieve their personal goals through a person-centred approach. You will collaborate with multiple internal and external services to alleviate homelessness and provide positive housing options and outcomes while managing customer expectations. This role offers varied and comprehensive development opportunities within a transformative council environment dedicated to meeting community needs.

Requirements

Experience
Experience working with individuals who have a history of unstable or short-term housing situations is essential. Proven ability to manage a caseload of single people and childless couples threatened with homelessness.

You can work effectively under pressure, manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks, and maintain high standards of customer care. Organisation, flexibility, and an innovative approach to your work are essential.
