About the Role
Clifford Chance, one of the largest international law firms with over 30 offices worldwide, invites penultimate-year law students and final-year non-law students to participate in The Challenge, an immersive insight experience. This three-part programme unfolds in real time, offering you the opportunity to collaborate with others, use AI tools, and tackle complex legal and business challenges for a fictional global client. The Challenge is designed to develop essential skills for a successful legal career, including problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, and commercial awareness, while helping you decide if a legal career is the right fit.

The experience reflects the pace and demands of multi-jurisdictional legal work across time zones and real cross-border legal issues. Successful participants may be fast-tracked to a Training Contract Assessment Day. Travel and accommodation will be provided where applicable.

Experience
The Challenge is open to penultimate-year law students and final-year non-law students. No prior professional experience is required.

About you
You should be motivated, adaptable, and eager to develop your legal and commercial skills. A strong interest in law and business, excellent teamwork and problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to engage with innovative tools such as AI are essential.

Qualifications
Applicants must be penultimate-year law students or final-year non-law students. Successful completion of the Clifford Chance Immersive Online Assessment and the Watson Glaser critical reasoning test is required to progress in the application process.
