About the Role
The Queensmith Academy is a three-year fixed-term development programme designed for individuals with a foundational understanding of jewellery-making who aspire to build a genuine career as a Goldsmith. You will work alongside our production team, learning from experienced mentors and progressing through increasingly complex tasks as your skills develop. Throughout the programme, you will clean and assemble casts using various techniques, solder and laser gold and platinum, resize and polish customers' pieces, and complete tasks promptly according to manufacturing notes. You will be expected to clearly communicate any queries during production, follow company procedures for processing client orders, accurately record your productivity timings, maintain an organised and tidy workspace, and support senior staff including the Head of Manufacturing and Head of Workshop L&D as needed. By the end of the three-year curriculum, you will be equipped to Queensmith standards with the potential opportunity to transition into a permanent role depending on your progress and business needs.
