About the Role
As a Therapeutic Radiographer, you will be responsible for the accurate preparation, planning, and delivery of radiotherapy treatment. You will participate as part of a multidisciplinary team in organising the radiotherapy work base and operate all equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and local guidelines. You will meet regulatory responsibilities as delegated by the Trust under IR(ME)R regulations. Your duties will include analysing and approving planning and verification images following designated training, maintaining accurate records, and providing required statistical information. You will participate in daily and weekly quality control of equipment in line with ISO 9001 standards and comply with the department’s quality assurance programme. Additionally, you will engage in ongoing clinical audit procedures and assess each patient’s fitness for radiotherapy daily. You will guide and support patients through all stages of the radiotherapy process, addressing both their physical and emotional needs.

Experience
Experience in therapeutic radiography or a related clinical environment is essential. Familiarity with radiotherapy equipment operation, quality control procedures, and regulatory compliance is required.

Qualifications
