About the Role

Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this programme leads to a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You will spend the majority of your time gaining practical classroom experience, supported by experienced teachers and mentors, putting pedagogical theory into practice and building your teaching confidence throughout the school year.

Key programme details include a two-week Summer School (2 – 13 August 2027) to prepare you with educational theory, lesson planning, and behaviour management. Throughout the year, you will receive personalised mentoring and coaching from a dedicated subject tutor and in-school mentor, weekly targeted training modules, and access to a nationwide support network across Lift Schools and Ark Teacher Training. This comprehensive support ensures you develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed as a Computing teacher.

Lift Bexleyheath is a welcoming and ambitious secondary school with a strong community ethos and a focus on continuous improvement, including investment in new facilities such as a sixth form centre. Join a committed team with high expectations and a shared determination to provide excellent education for every student.
