About the Role
Start your teacher training journey with Lift Schools and train to teach Maths through our school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme. Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this programme leads to a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You will spend the majority of your time gaining practical classroom experience, supported by experienced teachers and mentors, while applying pedagogical theory in real teaching environments.
The programme includes a two-week Summer School (2 – 13 August 2027) to prepare you with foundational knowledge in educational theory, lesson planning, and behaviour management. Throughout the year, you will receive personalised mentoring and coaching from a dedicated subject tutor and in-school mentor, alongside targeted weekly training sessions to enhance your teaching skills.
As part of Lift Schools, you will join a nationwide support network connecting you with trainees and alumni across 62 schools, providing a collaborative community throughout your training and Early Career Framework years.
Lift Bexleyheath is a welcoming and inclusive secondary school with a diverse student population and strong community ties. The school offers excellent facilities including a brand-new sixth form centre, making it an exciting environment to live and work.
