About the Role
Start your teacher training journey with Lift Schools and train to teach Physics through our school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme. Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this programme leads to a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You will spend the majority of your time gaining practical classroom experience, supported by experienced teachers and mentors, while applying pedagogical theory in real teaching environments.
The programme includes a two-week Summer School (2 – 13 August 2027) to prepare you with educational theory, lesson planning, and behaviour management skills. Throughout the year, you will receive personalised mentoring and coaching from a dedicated subject tutor and in-school mentor, alongside targeted weekly training modules to enhance your teaching skills.
As part of Lift Schools, you will benefit from a nationwide support network connecting you with trainees and alumni across 62 schools, fostering a collaborative community throughout your training and Early Career Framework years.
Graduate with recognised PGCE and QTS qualifications, fully supported to develop your teaching confidence and competence in Physics education.
