About the Role
Start your teacher training journey with Lift Schools and train to teach primary education through our school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme. Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this programme leads to a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You will spend the majority of your time gaining practical classroom experience, supported by experienced teachers and mentors, while applying pedagogical theory in real teaching environments.
The programme includes a two-week Summer School (2 – 13 August 2027) to prepare you with foundational knowledge in educational theory, lesson planning, and behaviour management. Throughout the year, you will receive personalised mentoring and coaching, weekly training modules, and access to a nationwide support network of trainees and alumni across 62 schools.
With dedicated 1-on-1 mentoring and a supportive progression structure, you will gradually take on more independent teaching responsibilities, building your confidence and skills as a primary teacher. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career in education with recognised qualifications and a strong professional network.
