About the Role
Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking an experienced Early Years Training & Development Officer to design and deliver high-quality, practical learning experiences across our growing nursery network. This role involves working directly with nursery leaders and teams through face-to-face, virtual, and on-site training tailored to real operational and development needs. You will use your Early Years expertise and adult training experience to build capability, strengthen practice, and support continuous improvement within our nurseries.
Your key responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging training sessions, translating compliance gaps and trends into practical learning interventions, supporting the rollout of the Early Learning Development Programme (ELDP) and other curriculum initiatives, leading induction and onboarding for new nursery managers, coaching nursery leaders and teams, creating training materials and resources, monitoring training effectiveness, partnering with the Compliance team to address risks, supporting inspection readiness, and staying current with Early Years developments and adult learning best practices.
Experience
- Specific experience designing and delivering training to adults in a professional setting
- Strong, current knowledge of the EYFS and Early Years regulatory expectations
- Experience delivering engaging face-to-face and virtual learning
- Confidence to coach, challenge, and support nursery leaders and teams
- Experience delivering accredited or formally assessed training is advantageous
- Experience supporting multiple nursery locations or a multi-site Early Years organisation is desirable
- Experience developing learning materials or structured training programmes is a plus
- Previous involvement in nursery improvement or regulatory inspection readiness is beneficial
About You
You are an experienced Early Years professional with excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills. You have the ability to translate complex information into practical, easy-to-use learning and are confident working directly with nursery teams and leaders. You are motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to nursery locations is essential.
Qualifications
- A recognised Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- A recognised qualification to deliver adult learning, such as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or an equivalent training or teaching qualification
