About the Role
The VAT Recovery Analyst will join the NEST Finance team, specifically supporting the Corporate Finance and Pension Scheme Accounting functions. The role involves analysing historic general ledger transaction reports to identify supplier invoices relevant to each VAT period, sourcing and organising invoice documentation, and compiling summary reports to support VAT recovery and return preparation. You will liaise with Corporation Finance and external advisors to ensure accurate VAT application, respond to queries from senior finance staff, and support the validation and submission of VAT returns to HMRC. This fixed-term contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial well-being of NEST Corporation by ensuring accurate VAT recovery and compliance within a collaborative and supportive finance environment.

Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Accounts Payable processes and VAT principles
- Experience working with financial systems and general ledger reports
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and document management
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Experience in project-based finance roles or VAT recovery is desirable
