About the Role
As a Void Surveyor, you will provide a comprehensive surveying service within the Council Housing – Homes department. Your responsibilities will include building and sustaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies, creating a streamlined commercial delivery practice, and managing housing and regeneration procurement projects from inception to completion. You will ensure projects are carried out in a timely manner, in line with the Council’s standing orders and audit requirements, as well as all relevant procurement legislation.

Requirements

Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a surveyor and collaborating on multi-service construction projects, particularly in Voids or similar multi-disciplinary customer-focused services. You should have experience managing programmes of work using schedules of rates and a partnering approach, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

About You
You should have a background in delivering commercial management solutions in a diverse, multi-cultural environment, managing third-party relationships, and successful projects. Strong communication skills and the ability to converse at ease with colleagues, external collaborators, and beneficiaries in accurate spoken English are essential.

Qualifications
A background in surveying is preferred, but this role could also be a perfect opportunity for a tradesperson looking to progress into surveying.
