About the Role
Are you passionate about helping young people gain meaningful work experience? Southwark College is seeking a proactive and organised Work Placement Officer to coordinate impactful placements for students across our study programmes. You will work closely with employers and students, visiting employer premises and conducting one-to-one sessions with students to ensure their work experience is valuable and provides insight into their chosen careers. Requirements

Experience
Experience working with young people or in education is desirable. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employers and stakeholders is important.

You are proactive, organised, and passionate about supporting young people to gain meaningful work experience. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external partners. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults is essential. Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or experience in education, youth work, or a related field are advantageous but not mandatory. A willingness to learn and develop professionally is expected.
