About the Role
As an Advanced Therapy Quality Control Scientist, you will lead the testing of clinical grade gene and cell therapy products based on the clinical needs of participants in current clinical trials. You will ensure that products are tested, documented, and stored according to product specifications, quality standards, and regulatory authorizations. Your responsibilities will include presenting research and specialist technical knowledge at various meetings, working independently on specialist tests, and undertaking validation and qualification for the GMP Unit and its equipment. You will develop testing methods involving flow cytometry, proliferation methodologies, and nucleic-acid techniques, while collaborating with internal and external customers to optimize procedures under GMP conditions. Additionally, you will maintain and operate GMP Unit equipment, manage quality control environments, and assist in quality assurance activities related to allocated projects.
Experience
Experience in cell manipulation and processing for clinical use is essential. Proven ability to work independently and undertake specialist tests.

Qualifications
A relevant degree in a scientific discipline is required. Specialist knowledge in GMP operations and experience in writing SOPs and batch-specific documentation are highly desirable.
