We have an exciting opportunity for an Allocations & Lettings Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis at the Houghton Regis office. What you'll need: The ability to work to tight deadlines while being conscious of the need for timely action. Experience across a range of housing functions such as lettings and allocations, housing options, and homelessness prevention. An understanding of housing law and working knowledge of the processes required for the allocation of social housing. If this sounds like you, this role might be perfect for you! A bit about the role: As an Allocations & Lettings Specialist some of the key results for the role include: Managing all lettings and transfers for Peabody, including new builds, by working collaboratively with customers and colleagues. Managing temporary rehousing need – ensuring customer impact is minimised by delivering great communications, ensuring financial efficiency, strong interdepartmental working, creative and solution-focused methods, and robust contract management/oversight of our service providers. Managing the allocations of our homes in cases of priority/management transfers - ensuring cases are managed sensitively, in line with policy, and in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Providing accurate data and statistics for local authorities, meeting nomination targets, as well as coordinating decants and urgent moves by being visible and available for external partners. Assess and band transfer applicants whilst successfully administering transfer systems by adhering to Peabody’s policy and procedure. Please note: Initially the first 3 month's will be Mon-Fri, 9AM to 5PM working from the Houghton Hall office and then 1-2 days minimum will be required.
