Join our Southwark Day-Time AMHP Service as an AMHP Service Manager and help make a difference today. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced AMHP to manage the Southwark day-time AMHP Service and lead on related issues across the department. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and effective Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) service in line with current legislation, Council policy and best practice.

Key responsibilities include:
- Overall management and coordination of the day-time AMHP service, including the AMHP rota.
- Line management and supervision of an Advanced Practitioner, two full-time AMHPs and a Business Support Officer.
- Providing professional leadership, guidance and support on complex assessments.
- Supporting and supervising AMHPs across the borough, including coordinating and leading the AMHP forum.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key partners including the Mental Health Trust, Police and other stakeholders.

Experience
Significant post-qualification experience as an Approved Mental Health Professional. Proven experience of supervising and managing staff. Experience of multi-agency working and partnership development.

Qualifications
Current AMHP qualification. Professional Social Work or other relevant professional qualification and registration with Social Work England. Approved Mental Health Professional status.
