About the Role

As an Analytics Engineer, you will design and develop data products that enable smarter decision-making and operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge Microsoft Azure tools, collaborating across NHG to build reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions that directly impact how we deliver for our residents.
Working within the Information, Systems & Change Directorate, you will develop and maintain data pipelines, models, and analytical products that form the backbone of NHG's data capability. You will ensure data is accurate, timely, and trusted, enabling stakeholders to make evidence-based decisions. You will partner with both technical and non-technical teams to understand business needs, translate them into data-driven solutions, and continually enhance analytics engineering standards and practices.
Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks; developing analytics engineering solutions within a medallion architecture optimized for performance and usability; owning and managing NHG's Power BI platform to ensure effective operation, security, and performance; collaborating across data, governance, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions; monitoring data processes for high availability and reliability; following rigorous testing and quality assurance to maximize trust in NHG data; communicating technical insights clearly to business stakeholders; and contributing to NHG's data management and analytics roadmap to maintain a leading edge in data innovation.

Experience
- Proven experience in analytics engineering, data modelling, and building ETL pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, and Power BI.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with OLAP, reporting, and analytics principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
