About the Role
As an Applied AI Architect for the Meta Enterprise Platform, you will act as the strategic technical advisor helping enterprise customers unlock the full potential of Meta's Enterprise AI products such as Model API. You will combine deep expertise in Generative AI with enterprise architecture knowledge and strong communication skills to guide customers from initial discovery through deployment, adoption, and expansion. This role blends pre-sales technical leadership with post-sales customer success, involving designing scalable architectures, developing evaluation frameworks, creating reference implementations, and serving as the trusted technical authority.

You will own the customer’s technical success from scoping through live production deployment and growth, partnering closely with sales teams to translate business requirements and existing technology stacks into clear, feasible AI solution architectures and integration plans. You will establish and maintain technical account plans covering use cases, adoption milestones, and value metrics including API usage health and expansion opportunities.

As the primary technical advisor, you will guide architecture decisions around large language model selection, retrieval-augmented generation patterns, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, tool use, data pipelines, and enterprise integration points. You will design evaluation frameworks to measure AI performance, create demos, reference architectures, and proofs of concept that align with customer business goals.

You will address enterprise security, compliance, and governance requirements by navigating complex sales lifecycles involving IT, Legal, Security, and executive stakeholders to build confidence and accelerate deployment decisions. Acting as a bridge between customers and internal Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams, you will surface field insights, integration patterns, and product gaps that influence roadmap and go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities also include creating technical content such as architecture guides, best-practice documentation, and industry-specific solution briefs, enabling sales and partner ecosystems with training and reusable assets. You will guide customers through enterprise integration challenges including legacy systems, complex infrastructure, and security constraints, serving as the technical owner for strategic accounts from prototyping through production.

You will contribute to organizational strategy by identifying patterns across engagements, setting goals for technical win rates and adoption metrics, and coaching peers on scalable enterprise AI solution design approaches. This role requires up to 30% travel to support customer engagements, executive briefings, and field enablement activities.

Experience
- 8+ years in technical customer-facing roles such as AI Architect, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or Forward Deployed/ Solutions Engineering roles
- Proven experience engaging enterprise customers through full sales lifecycles and deployment decisions involving multiple stakeholders across IT, Security, Legal, and executive leadership
- Expertise with cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure), API design patterns, modern deployment concepts, data integration, identity, security, privacy, and enterprise integration approaches such as single sign-on and data governance
- Deep knowledge of the Generative AI ecosystem including APIs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation architectures, vector databases, and evaluation frameworks
- Ability to build and assess lightweight demos, prototypes, and reference implementations
- Strong communication skills to explain complex AI and machine learning concepts to executives, IT, engineering teams, and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact such as efficiency gains and quality improvements
- Experience with AI observability, evaluation frameworks assessing quality, latency, cost, reliability, and implementing enterprise-grade security guardrails and responsible AI practices
- Ongoing AI skill development including prompt/context engineering and agent orchestration
- Familiarity with responsible, ethical AI practices including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality reviews
- Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, FedRAMP, or HIPAA in AI deployments
- Experience architecting AI and machine learning solutions at scale in enterprise environments including model deployment, monitoring, governance, and transitioning customers from evaluation to live applications
- Hands-on experience building applications using AI APIs and frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph
