In this leadership role, you will drive the team's goals and technical direction to pursue opportunities that make your larger organization more efficient. You will effectively communicate complex features and systems in detail, understand industry and company-wide trends to help assess and develop new technologies, and partner with organization leaders to improve team and organizational performance. You will identify new opportunities for the larger organization and influence appropriate stakeholders for staffing and prioritizing these ideas.

You will lead long-term technical strategy and roadmap for large cross-company efforts, suggest, collect and synthesize requirements to create an effective feature roadmap, and identify and resolve performance and scalability issues. Additionally, you will drive large efforts to reduce technical debt and ensure high-quality deliverables through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes.

Experience with integrating AI tools to optimize and redesign workflows, driving measurable impact such as efficiency gains and quality improvements, is highly valued. You will also be expected to adhere to and implement responsible, ethical AI practices including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development and staying current with emerging AI technologies is essential.

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Programming experience in relevant languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, or Hack
- Experience driving large cross-functional and industry-wide engineering efforts
- Experience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions
- Experience mentoring and influencing experienced engineers across organizations
- Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps where short-term projects ladder to long-term missions
- Experience improving quality through code reviews, testing, rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes
- Experience building large-scale infrastructure applications or similar systems
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development and staying current with emerging AI technologies
