Apprentice Medical Physics MEMS/RES Clinical Technologist

Location
Main hospital sites at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ (London) and our offsite logistics facility in Dartford.
Hours
Full Time - standard NHS working hours apply.
Salary
£34,186 per annum.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be expected to carry out scheduled servicing, repair, calibration, and acceptance testing on a range of medical equipment, maintaining high standards of safety and accountability. The role involves regular communication with clinical and technical staff to identify faults and repair equipment, including working in clinical areas and liaising with manufacturers. The equipment library role focuses less on technical repair and more on supporting the collection and delivery of medical devices to clinical areas. Training, support, and career development opportunities will be provided to develop your technical skills and knowledge in medical physics and clinical technology.
Experience
Some technical aptitude is desirable; however, full training and support will be provided. Experience working with medical equipment or in a clinical environment is advantageous but not essential.
About you
You should have a strong interest in medical technology and a commitment to working safely and responsibly. Good communication skills are important as you will liaise with clinical and technical teams. You must be motivated, reliable, and eager to learn and develop your skills within a healthcare setting.
Qualifications
An appropriate technical qualification is required or equivalent experience demonstrating technical aptitude. Full training and career development will be provided to support your progression in this role.
