The Assistant Delivery Manager will support the Delivery function within the Centre for Innovation, Transformation and Improvement (CITI), helping to progress key projects, programmes and improvement initiatives across the Trust. This role involves close collaboration with Delivery leadership, clinical groups, managers and wider stakeholders to support the design, coordination and delivery of transformation and improvement work aligned to Trust and CITI priorities.
Key responsibilities include project planning, tracking actions, monitoring progress, producing high-quality reports and presentations, analysing data, and helping teams identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and patient pathways. The role requires strong organisational, communication and analytical skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, influence stakeholders and support delivery in a complex healthcare environment.
The post holder will also contribute to the effective running of the Delivery team by supporting meetings, documentation, follow-up actions, and wider administrative processes such as HR, finance and resource management. This is an excellent opportunity to play an important role in supporting innovation, improvement and transformation across the Trust, ensuring work is delivered in line with organisational values and with a clear focus on improving outcomes for patients and communities.
Experience
- Significant management experience or equivalent relevant training/experience
- Experience working with very senior individuals
- Experience of working in a large organisation under pressure with strict deadlines and managing complex issues with conflicting priorities
- Experience working autonomously to defined objectives
- Experience providing improvement and programme management advice to a range of professionals
- Experience building capability with stakeholders, including developing and maintaining training materials
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and securing engagement in change
- Evidence of persuading teams to adopt new ways of working and challenge the status quo
- Experience developing, monitoring and managing budgets
- Evidence of successful delivery of financial and quality benefits within agreed timescales

Qualifications
- Degree level education or equivalent knowledge or relevant training/experience (essential)
