This senior role offers 12 months maternity cover (fixed term contract or secondment) and carries high expectations to deliver ambitious category strategies and plans that anticipate and respond to external challenges. You will drive benefits and revenue generation regionally and nationally, attracting new customers while leading and supporting a dedicated team of workforce experts.

You will play a key role in implementing the NHS LPP vision and strategy, working closely with Workforce Alliance colleagues and representing the organisation on the Workforce Alliance Management Operating Board. This position requires expert technical workforce and/or HR procurement experience, deep category management skills, proven commercial acumen, and significant leadership experience engaging multi-disciplinary stakeholders, particularly NHS Workforce managers.

Requirements

Experience
- Significant and extensive senior procurement experience in procurement and supply chain roles within public or private sectors
- Experience managing complex procurement projects from planning through to contract award
- Proven commercial acumen and leadership experience engaging multi-disciplinary stakeholders
- Desirable: Experience in Workforce/HR category management and delivering recurrent non-pay savings

About you
- Strong communicator able to explain detailed and complex contractual issues to internal management, clinicians, suppliers, and NHS/Government bodies
- Ability to represent NHS LPP members and other regional/national procurement agencies
- Demonstrates leadership and acts as a role model supporting organisational purpose, vision, values, and behaviours
- Desirable: Ability to develop and influence market research strategy

Qualifications
- Essential: MBA, Degree or equivalent senior level experience
- Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or equivalent
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Desirable: e-Procurement training and NHS experience
