About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust includes five renowned hospitals and community services, with a strong reputation for clinical excellence, teaching, research, and innovation.

The Transplant, Renal and Urology directorate is recruiting internally for a 6-month Fixed Term Assistant General Manager position focusing on Benign Urology and Admin Change. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly engaged team during a significant period of change and improvement.

The role involves managing a world-leading set of Benign Urology services including Andrology, Functional Urology / Continence, Kidney Stone, and Prostatology. The postholder will work closely with the General Manager to deliver RTT and DM01 recovery targets and lead the transformation of Urology administrative processes, supporting the implementation of new admin structures and ways of working.

The Assistant General Manager will have day-to-day operational responsibility for the wider Urology service, excluding cancer services which remain under separate management. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of delivering successful operational process changes while meeting performance targets.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is committed to providing high quality, safe, and patient-focused care, supported by a diverse and motivated workforce of over 23,500 staff. The Trust offers an ambitious capital investment programme and is part of King’s Health Partners, a leading academic health sciences centre.
