The Assistant Resilience Support Officer will report directly to the Resilience Support Officer and support the Resilience Planning Team, consisting of four staff members. This role involves assisting with all aspects of emergency preparedness, response, resilience, and management across several key areas including emergency preparedness and recovery, business continuity, public realm/community safety CCTV, event applications and Safety Advisory Group, and the River Safety Forum.

You will join an award-winning team recognized with a Community Award by the High Sheriff of Greater London for outstanding coordination during the borough’s Covid-19 response.

This multi-disciplined and dynamic role is ideal for individuals eager to develop new skills and enhance the resilience of residents, communities, and businesses in Kingston. The post holder will collaborate across the council and with external partners to improve community health and safety and reduce crime. You will assist with transformational projects and provide specialist advice to internal and external strategic partners to support resilience planning.
