About the Role
Join Thames Reach as an Assistant Support Worker within the City Navigators team, supporting people with histories of rough sleeping to sustain their housing and work towards independence. You will provide floating support services using a strength-based, trauma-informed, and person-centred approach. This includes maintaining the Keeping in Touch service by conducting welfare checks over the phone and in person, offering practical resettlement support, assessing risk and needs, and liaising with housing providers and referring agencies. You will motivate and support people to engage with health services, employment, training, and education, helping them develop the skills to manage their homes and lives independently. Experience
Experience of street homelessness and its impact is valued, whether personal or professional. Commitment to working within the homelessness sector is essential.
About you
You will be compassionate, understanding, and motivated to support people with rough sleeping histories. You must be able to work effectively as part of a team, manage conflicting priorities and deadlines, and work autonomously within the community. Confidence in using IT systems to communicate and record your work is required. You will follow instructions, manage and mitigate risk, and demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness in your support.
Qualifications
