About the Role
Join Thames Reach as a Support Worker within the ASPIRE team, delivering Floating Support services to help people sustain their housing. Using a strength-based approach, you will work collaboratively with individuals to identify their support needs and address them directly or in partnership with landlords, Department for Work and Pensions, mental health services, and other agencies. Support can be short term or for the duration of a tenancy, including resettlement support and equipping people with skills to manage their homes and goals independently. Your role will involve assessing risk and needs, providing practical resettlement guidance on housing rights, benefits, income maximisation, and access to training and employment. You will liaise with specialist services such as drug and alcohol treatment providers, Community Mental Health Teams, NHS services, and community groups to support client engagement. Deliver person-centred support by co-producing plans that help individuals achieve their goals while managing and reducing risks. You will also recognise when clients are ready to move on and develop tailored plans to support successful transitions into independent living or alternative accommodation.

Experience
Experience providing flexible and responsive support to people with experience of rough sleeping and homelessness.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders. Commitment to supporting people to achieve the best outcomes as they work towards independence. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines. Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Qualifications
Knowledge to carry out administrative tasks alongside practical support work, and to manage and mitigate risk. No specific formal qualifications required but relevant experience and skills are essential.
