About the Role
At Goldman Sachs, our Investment Banking division works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Our Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) Group advises clients across a broad range of subsectors including software, internet, e-commerce, sports and entertainment, publishing, advertising, broadcasting, cable, wireless, hosting, semiconductors, electronics and hardware. On any given day, you could be advising on cross-border mergers, structuring initial public offerings, refinancing bonds, and more. We pride ourselves on being trusted advisors, financiers, and risk managers for our clients' most important transactions.

As an Associate, you will play a key role in developing and strengthening client relationships, participating in advisory teams, and structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. You will gain exposure to the firm's businesses and deepen your knowledge of investment banking while developing analytical, communication, marketing, and sales skills. Your responsibilities will include developing financial models, performing valuation analyses, preparing presentations on industry trends, coordinating teams of advisers and bankers, leading due diligence processes, and actively participating in negotiations.

Experience
- Strong academic record with a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant work experience or an MBA with relevant experience
- Significant investment banking experience required, preferably within the Technology / TMT sector
- Experience with buy-side and sell-side M&A, equity and debt financing transactions
- Proven experience with due diligence and transaction execution processes
- Strong financial modelling skills including DCF, LBO, merger modeling, comparable companies, and precedent transactions
- Experience preparing and maintaining industry/company presentations and benchmarking materials
