About the Role
As a Band 5 Anaesthetic Staff Nurse/ODP, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care from admission through to discharge. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' nursing requirements, ensuring that care plans are tailored to individual needs. You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ascertain treatments and advise on nursing priorities. Your responsibilities will include administering prescribed medications, conducting physical observations, and maintaining accurate documentation. You will also ensure that all patients have a safe and appropriate discharge plan, while adhering to the NMC code of professional conduct and local health and safety policies.

Experience
Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not essential. A strong commitment to patient care and safety is crucial.

You should be a compassionate and dedicated individual with excellent communication skills. A patient-oriented approach is essential, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a proactive attitude towards professional development are also important.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification is required. You must be familiar with the NMC code of professional conduct and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining and improving your professional competence.
