About the Role
The British Museum is seeking a detail-oriented Building Drawing Inventory Officer to manage and maintain the comprehensive inventory of building drawings. This role involves cataloguing, updating, and ensuring the accuracy of architectural and building plans across the museum’s estate. You will work closely with the facilities and conservation teams to support the preservation and management of the museum’s infrastructure through meticulous record keeping and data management. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the care and maintenance of one of the world's most renowned cultural institutions.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in managing technical drawings, building plans, or similar documentation is highly desirable. Familiarity with inventory systems and data management tools is advantageous.

You are highly organized, detail-focused, and able to work independently. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams are essential. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards are important for success in this role.

Qualifications
A background in architecture, building surveying, facilities management, or a related field is preferred but not essential. Relevant experience and a demonstrated ability to manage technical documentation will be considered.
