About the Role

We are seeking a Building Services Engineering (BSE) Tutor/Assessor to act as the main point of contact for apprentices, providing information, advice and guidance, monitoring progress against apprenticeship standards, and maintaining strong relationships with employers. This role involves delivering teaching and assessment to apprentices and learners working towards individual qualifications and apprenticeship standards across various environments, including college and the workplace.

The successful candidate will manage a caseload efficiently to ensure timely completion of all qualifications through scheduled block and day-release sessions at college and assessment visits at the apprentice’s place of work. Responsibilities include completing tripartite progress reviews with apprentices and employers and fulfilling all scheduled tasks and milestones as detailed on the apprenticeship training plan.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in teaching, assessing, or working within Building Services Engineering or related apprenticeship frameworks is essential. Proven ability to manage and support apprentices through their learning journey is required.

Qualifications
Relevant teaching and assessing qualifications are required, alongside knowledge of apprenticeship standards and frameworks within Building Services Engineering. Enhanced DBS clearance and compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines are mandatory for this role.
