About the Role
Southwark Council’s Regulatory Services team is seeking a talented and motivated Business Analyst to join us on a 24-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the design and delivery of services that make a real difference to people’s lives. You will play a pivotal role in capturing, analysing, and clearly articulating system requirements to ensure the needs of our residents and stakeholders are understood and met.

In this role, you will not only analyse processes but also help deliver positive change that improves services across Southwark, driving value and impact for one of London’s most vibrant communities.

Key responsibilities include gathering and analysing business requirements, documenting processes and workflows, identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement, recommending system enhancements and process changes, acting as the bridge between stakeholders and project teams, and supporting the testing and implementation of solutions that enhance our services.

You will work closely with Project Managers across Regulatory Services and Technology & Digital Services, playing a key role in the successful procurement and implementation of new systems.

Experience
Proven experience as a Business Analyst with knowledge of project management principles and agile methodologies. Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing local government. Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, spot trends, and use insights to shape smarter strategies.

Qualifications
