About the Role
Following an organisational restructure in Adult Social Care Mental Health Service, the opportunity to step into the role of Business and Administration Manager has become available. You will work alongside managers, partner agencies, and other local authority departments including the Finance Team, leading the Adult Social Care Mental Health Business Support Service. This position offers excellent opportunities and challenges to advance your career.

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of expenditure against the DASHH Adult Mental Health Social Care Budget. This includes managing and reporting on the budget covering expenditure on care packages, staff, running expenses, and building costs. You will support decision making at performance and quality assurance panels and coordinate the provision of accurate performance data to help the Council meet its key performance targets. This requires collaborative working with the NHS, ICB, SLP, and Council Managers to deliver these targets.

Croydon Council is committed to equality of opportunity in its services and employment. The Council balances its books, listens to residents, and delivers sustainable services. Key priorities include financial sustainability, partnership working with diverse communities and businesses, strengthening collaboration with partner organisations, embedding good governance, and developing a diverse workforce.

Key business plan outcomes include making Croydon a place of opportunity for business, ensuring children and young people thrive, creating a cleaner, safer, and healthier borough, and enabling people to lead healthier and more independent lives for longer.

The Council supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements and is an inclusive employer committed to equality and diversity. The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check if required by the role.
