About the Role
The successful candidate will provide a safeguarding and reviewing service to children and young people who are looked after. You will offer advice and consultation on care planning and quality of services to all agencies involved in caring for looked after children and young people. Your role will ensure that children and young people receive the services to which they are entitled. This is a fixed term position for 12 months with hybrid working arrangements.
Experience
- Expertise in working on looked after children cases
- Skills in chairing complex meetings
- Ability to manage complex information, contribute to plans and achieve excellent outcomes in service delivery
- Research knowledge of the impact on children of domestic violence, parental drug abuse and mental health
- Experience of overseeing social work practice, preferably at managerial level
- Experience working effectively on safeguarding and complex looked after children (LAC) cases
- Experience of applying evidence-based interventions
- Experience contributing to service improvement initiatives
- Experience enabling and empowering others to develop their practice
About you
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and transfer chairing skills to a variety of settings and requirements
- Advanced Social Worker with strong leadership and communication skills
Qualifications
- Advanced Social Worker qualification required
