Salary
Grade 12 £51,738 - £53,919 plus enhancements (20% between 8pm and 6am, 50% on Sundays, 100% on bank holidays)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced statutory social worker to deliver Croydon’s out of hours response to emergencies in children’s social care. This vital role ensures high quality service delivery and care to some of Croydon’s most vulnerable residents. The role involves responding to urgent child protection concerns and providing professional social work assessments and interventions during out of hours periods. The role profile covers core elements relevant to all levels of children’s social work posts, with specific duties varying according to specialist focus. You will work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment to safeguard children and support families in crisis.
Experience
Extensive experience working as a social worker in a statutory children’s social care setting, with proven ability to make professional judgments and deliver positive outcomes.
About you
Social work qualification recognised by Social Work England.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, national policy, and developments impacting children’s social care.
Ability to assess the needs of children, adults, and families holistically and analytically using appropriate frameworks and tools.
Effective time management skills to meet expected timeframes.
Ability and willingness to work out of hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Qualifications
Recognised social work qualification registered with Social Work England.
