About the Role
We invite you to join a vibrant and culturally diverse community that supports social work staff to deliver excellence in practice. As a Social Worker within Social Work with Families (SWwF), you will work with children subject to child protection plans, children in need, and Children Looked After, including those involved in Public Law Outline processes or court proceedings. You will be part of a small Locality service alongside your Team Manager, Business Support Officer, and colleagues who will support you in using your skills and knowledge to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families in Croydon.

Experience
Confident, qualified social workers registered with Social Work England who have completed their ASYE. Demonstrable skills, resilience, and experience in:
- Building relationships to create change
- Identifying and working with families’ strengths
- Managing complex cases
- Representing children in court with empathy and professionalism
Experience in statutory settings is desirable but not essential. Experience working directly with children, young people, and families, evidencing multi-agency partnerships and a robust understanding of thresholds of need is important.

About you
You will have excellent analytical and writing skills and be able to incorporate systemic practice models that build on families’ strengths with a focus on protective factors. Effective time management skills to deliver work within expected timeframes are essential.

Qualifications
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England who has completed the ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment).
