About the Role
This challenging role plays an integral part in the Division's strategy of 'protecting today, securing tomorrow' through the promotion of our Platform proposition, helping to meet the retirement planning and income needs of UK intermediary customers. Reporting to the Intermediary Distribution Manager, you will develop and manage both new and existing relationships across London & the South East within the intermediary market. You will use your drive, technical expertise, and influence to increase new business flow and help achieve ambitious market share goals.
Your responsibilities include developing relationships and new business from a defined segment of accounts to meet sales and retention targets for Platform, while referring any Workplace opportunities from your panel of accounts. You will work collaboratively to leverage our multi-channel proposition and deliver and exceed distribution targets.
You will formulate and implement effective business plans with detailed understanding of each intermediary’s people, business strengths, weaknesses, goals, and decision-making behaviours to meet or exceed growth and profit targets. Identifying and exploiting business opportunities within your panel, leading sales approaches and coordinating activities across your region will be key.
You will agree and implement development approaches with your Intermediary Distribution Manager, develop multi-level contact strategies aligned with risk and compliance procedures, and fully engage with Scottish Widows Specialist resources to optimise business opportunities within your region.

Experience
Experience working in financial services, with a focus on investment platforms or platform-based solutions.
Strong business development and/or relationship management skills, preferably within an intermediated environment.
Ability to lead pitch teams and present tailored solutions to clients.
Excellent presentation and communication skills across face-to-face, telephone, and virtual environments.
Strong understanding of the intermediary market, including regulatory, technical, and legislative changes and opportunities.

Qualifications
