Hours
Two positions available with flexible shifts to cover annual leave and sickness.
Recruitment 1: Average 13 hours per fortnight based on a 2-week rolling rota.
Week one: Sunday 07:30-21:30
Week two: Thursday 15:30-21:30, Friday 15:30-21:30
Recruitment 2: Average 19.5 hours per fortnight based on a 2-week rolling rota.
Week one: Monday 15:30-21:30, Wednesday 14:30-21:30, Friday 14:30-21:30
Week two: Wednesday 14:30-21:30, Saturday 15:30-21:30, Sunday 15:30-21:30
Applicants must be willing to work in an environment with a small dog.

Salary
£17.49 - £18.24 per hour (competitive rate after training)

About the Role

You will spend your whole shift providing focused, meaningful support to one client with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Full training will be provided to help you gain confidence and thrive in your role.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the client to access the community, attend university, and meet complex personal care needs such as moving and handling, pressure sore prevention, personal care, eating and drinking, secretion management, ventilation support, saturation monitoring, and medication administration.

Experience
Previous experience is helpful but not essential as full training is provided.

A caring and empathetic nature with good communication skills.
A genuine desire to support others.
Basic IT and record-keeping skills.
Willingness to work in an environment with a small dog.
A full UK driving licence is advantageous.

Qualifications
A good standard of spoken and written English is essential.
Right to work in the UK with valid documentation for at least 12 months.
