About the Role
United Colleges Group is seeking ambitious and outstanding candidates to join our forward-thinking education team. As a Carpentry Industry Skills Tutor, you will manage a caseload of apprentices, monitoring attendance, progression, achievement, and completion. You will organise pastoral support as needed and collaborate with all parties involved to resolve issues affecting successful programme completion. You will coordinate the achievement of all aspects of apprenticeship standards or frameworks, including quality assurance where appropriate, ensuring learners meet college targets and complete on time. You will develop individual action plans with SMART targets tailored to apprentices’ needs while maintaining accurate records in line with College requirements. This role requires excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills, alongside a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and problem-solving for apprentices, employers, and stakeholders.
Experience
- Relevant experience within the Carpentry industry
- Experience managing apprentices or learners is highly desirable

Qualifications
- Relevant vocational qualification at or above Level 3
- Assessor award and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) award
- Up-to-date industrial/subject knowledge of the Carpentry industry and employment opportunities
- Knowledge of Ofsted, apprenticeship standards, and AEB funding
- Willingness to travel between campuses and external venues as required
