About the Role
United Colleges Group (UCG) is seeking ambitious and outstanding candidates to join our teaching staff as an Electrical Installations Lecturer. We are a forward-thinking education provider committed to delivering outstanding, world-class education and skills to over 11,000 learners annually, including 16–18-year-olds, adults, apprentices, and students with high needs.
As an Electrical Installations Lecturer, you will develop and maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, incorporating relevant industry professionals into the curriculum to enhance student employability and skills. You will support and motivate learners to achieve their individual aspirations and goals, including their main vocational qualifications and attendance to Maths and English if required. You will coordinate the progression and tracking of learners’ achievements and lead study programmes aimed at outstanding achievement, retention, and progression.
You will work cooperatively within a team, contributing positively and creatively, and demonstrate strong organisational skills. We welcome candidates with industry experience and offer the opportunity to work towards a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.

Experience
- Understanding of current electrical installation standards
- Preferably some industry experience
- Experience motivating, developing, and managing learner performance (desirable)

Qualifications
- Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (essential)
- Level 2 Mathematics and English qualifications (essential)
- Assessor and Verifier qualifications (desirable)
- Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (desirable)
- Willingness to work towards a recognised Level 4 or Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment
