Salary
£15.52 per hour inclusive of holiday pay or £13.85 per hour exclusive of holiday pay

Advance is looking for Casual Support Workers in Newham, E13 to support customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, and mental health conditions to live the lives they choose. You must have a full UK driving licence as this customer has their own vehicle to access the community.

Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
- Medication administration (if required)
- Support with preparing and cooking meals
- Support with attending medical appointments
- Support with social activities
- Support with independent skills
- Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
- Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
- Keeping up to date with your training
- Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
- Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
- Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety

Requirements

Experience
Ideally, experience supporting adults with autism. However, if you’re new to care, what matters most are your values—your passion, empathy, and determination to make a positive difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities.

About you
- Good at working independently and within a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to complete quality support records
- Able to work bank holidays and possible waking-night shifts
- Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records
- Literate and numerate in English
- Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate

Qualifications
No formal qualifications required, but a full UK driving licence is essential due to community access requirements.
