£27,080.21 per annum (£13.85 per hour)

Advance is looking for Support Workers in Hackney, E5 to support customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, and mental health conditions to live the lives they choose.

Day to Day Activities
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
- Medication administration (if required)
- Support with preparing and cooking meals
- Support with attending medical appointments
- Support with social activities
- Support with independent skills
- Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
- Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
- Keeping up to date with your training

Experience
You don’t need previous experience working in care or support to be successful in this role. What matters are your values, your passion, and determination to make a difference in the lives of people with autism or learning disabilities.
About you
- Good at working independently and within a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to complete quality support records in line with individual needs and organisational policies
- Able to work weekends and between 7am and 10:30pm
- Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain accurate and confidential customer records
- Literate and numerate in English
- Computer literate with the ability to confidently use digital systems for care documentation
- Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required for this position, but a willingness to learn and achieve the Care Certificate is essential.
