About the Role
Join our Lifelong Learning team and help adults build skills, confidence and opportunities through high-quality education! The Lifelong Learning team delivers a wide-ranging adult education programme across the borough, supporting learners from diverse backgrounds to develop practical skills for everyday life, work, and further study. Due to service expansion, we are seeking enthusiastic part-time tutors to deliver one or more of the following subject areas face-to-face within the Wandsworth borough: ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), Employability, and Digital Skills. You will plan and deliver inclusive, high-quality teaching that meets the needs of adult learners, prepare lesson materials and learning activities aligned to course outcomes, assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and support learners to achieve their goals. Additionally, you will maintain accurate registers and learner records in line with service requirements and promote a safe, supportive learning environment while following relevant safeguarding policies.
Experience
Experience in delivering teaching or training to adult learners in the UK. Experience delivering ESOL and/or employability programmes with appropriate sector knowledge.
About you
Enthusiastic and committed to supporting adult learners from diverse backgrounds. Able to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Evidence of recent continuing professional development (CPD) related to the subject area is desirable.
Qualifications
A relevant UK teaching qualification (or equivalent) appropriate to the subject area. Relevant qualifications or training in ESOL, employability, or digital skills are advantageous.
