About the Role
We are looking for a Children's Social Worker to join a Care Planning Team. This role requires a Social Work qualification with a minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience in permanent contracts. The Locality teams work on a variety of complex cases, including working with children with disabilities who are unable to live at home and taking action to secure permanence for them. The day-to-day responsibilities include carrying out child-centred practice with children, regular home visits, and developing and reviewing care plans every 6 months. The team prioritizes effective communication with parents, foster carers, and special guardians to ensure positive outcomes for each child involved and to ultimately reduce risk.

Experience
A degree in Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of three years experience in permanent contracts is essential. Experience in carrying out child-centred assessments is also required.

You will need to demonstrate a passion and enthusiasm for integrated working. An understanding of how to engage with parents and carers is crucial for this role, along with excellent communication skills.
