About the Role

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to support the delivery of exciting UK and international engineering projects. This role requires strong knowledge of multi-disciplinary project delivery and offers opportunities for international travel to collaborate with overseas clients and WSP aviation teams worldwide. Responsibilities include supporting the preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications related to airfield engineering projects; identifying and managing design risks, issues and Requests for Information (RFIs); ensuring deliverables meet cost, quality and time targets; championing health and safety practices including safety in design and compliance with CDM regulations; assisting Project Managers with project progress monitoring and controls such as change management and document control; and maintaining professional client relationships to support future business growth.

Experience
A university degree relevant to civil engineering, construction, design or a related discipline is required. Experience delivering civil engineering projects is essential; this does not need to be aviation-specific and may include highways, urban realm, maritime ports or similar projects. Knowledge of international airfield design standards such as ICAO, CAA, EASA and FAA is preferable but not mandatory. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other relevant engineering design software is expected.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. You enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment, sharing ideas and solving complex problems. You demonstrate confidence working under pressure, with strong prioritisation and planning abilities. You are professional, customer-focused, and able to build and maintain positive client relationships.
Qualifications
A relevant university degree in civil engineering or a related field is required. Additional certifications or training related to aviation engineering or project management would be advantageous but are not essential.
