About the Role

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to support the delivery of exciting UK and international engineering projects. This role requires good knowledge and understanding of multi-disciplinary project delivery and offers opportunities for international travel to collaborate with overseas clients and WSP aviation teams worldwide. Responsibilities include supporting the preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications related to airfield engineering projects in the UK and overseas; identifying and managing design risks, issues and Requests for Information (RFIs); ensuring deliverables and milestones meet cost, quality and time targets; championing excellent health and safety practices including safety in design and compliance with CDM regulations; supporting project managers with progress monitoring and project controls such as change management, information management and document control; and maintaining professional, customer-focused relationships with clients and peers to support future business growth.

Experience
A university degree relevant to civil engineering, construction, design or a related discipline. Experience delivering civil engineering projects is required; this does not need to be aviation-specific and may include highways, urban realm, maritime ports or similar projects. Knowledge of international airfield design standards such as ICAO, CAA, EASA and FAA is preferable but not essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D or other relevant engineering design software is expected.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment, sharing ideas and solving complex problems. Ability to work confidently under pressure, prioritise tasks effectively and demonstrate successful time management in previous roles.

Qualifications
A relevant university degree in civil engineering or a related field is required. Ongoing professional development is supported and encouraged.
