About the Role
At WSP, you can access our global scale, contribute to landmark projects and connect with the brightest minds in your field to do the best work of your life. You will join the Rail Engineering Services (RES) team within WSP’s Rail division as a BIM Coordinator, leading MEP delivery across a diverse portfolio of multidisciplinary Rail Engineering projects. This role involves pro-actively managing requirements and risks, influencing others to deliver successfully, and supporting the Technical Discipline Leads to enhance design processes that maximise structured information exchange across multiple software platforms and systems. You will provide project-level support by assembling baseline existing design information models and discipline-specific template design coordination models. Additionally, you will support engineering discipline teams in producing 3D modelling outputs, mentoring and upskilling technical staff as required.

You will be part of a professionally qualified, diverse, and talented team working across the design lifecycle from early concept to detailed design. Projects include work for Network Rail, HS2, Transport for The North, TfGM, Nexus, Local Authorities, Principal Contractors, and Private Developers. Reporting to a senior member of the rail engineering services team, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and challenging multi-disciplinary rail projects. Our Central London office offers a quality, flexible, and dynamic working space focused on staff health and wellbeing, featuring cutting-edge design, abundant natural light, large open spaces, and collaborative working areas.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in engineering management within Rail, ideally working on infrastructure design projects at tender and detailed design stages. Demonstrable ability to pro-actively manage requirements and risks and influence project outcomes. Experience with Bentley AECOsim V8i for 3D design and Bentley ProjectWise V8i for data management is essential. Working knowledge of Bentley eB for document management is required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including writing macros for complex or repetitive calculations, look-ups, and pivot tables. Experience with VBA is advantageous. Familiarity with other Microsoft Office software packages is expected.

About you
You are an excellent communicator and problem solver with the ability to mentor and upskill technical staff. You thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and are motivated to contribute to landmark rail projects. You embrace new ideas and diverse perspectives and are eager to make a meaningful impact through your work.

Qualifications
Either an Engineering qualification (HND or similar preferred) or equivalent relevant experience working on infrastructure design projects. Industry-recognised CAD/BIM software certification would be advantageous.
