About the Role
As a Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP), you will undertake comprehensive psychological assessments and develop formulations to enhance understanding of the emotional, behavioural, and social factors affecting an individual's physical and mental health. Using evidence-based approaches, you will deliver psychological interventions to support improved health outcomes and quality of life. Interventions may be delivered individually or in groups and the role may involve working across multiple sites. You will work collaboratively with service users, carers, and support networks to promote engagement and recovery, including understanding the relationship between physical and psychological health. You will provide culturally sensitive, inclusive, and equitable person-centred care, recognising the impact of diversity and health inequalities for all service users. The post is subject to a probationary period. New starters join on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction including mandatory and systems training, equipment allocation, and opportunities to meet senior management. The induction is held at the Trust’s head office in Goodmayes Hospital. NELFT is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive working environment, with a focus on staff development, equality, diversity, and wellbeing. The Trust is CQC rated Good and is on a journey towards Outstanding. NELFT operates across North East London and Essex, providing community and mental healthcare services to adults and children. The Trust is a Level 3 Disability Confident Leader, recognised in the Working Families Top 10 Employers benchmark for five consecutive years, and holds Carers UK Level 1 Accreditation. Through staff networks and training, NELFT fosters a just and compassionate culture.
