The post holder will largely be based in the Education Centre, York Road. The rest of activities are expected to be delivered from the Royal Brompton or Harefield hospital sites as well as other customers location. There may be an option to deliver part of their job plan remotely. Applicants must be able to work well within a multi-disciplinary team and possess strong leadership skills communicating effectively to promote innovation, effect change, and communicate effectively with managers and employees. Experience of working in a large complex multi-disciplinary organisation would be an advantage. Applicants must have full GMC registration, a licence to practise and be eligible for inclusion on the GMCs Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to a Certificate of Completion of Training in Occupational Medicine, hold Membership or Fellowship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults and/or children (0-18 years) and therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
