About the Role
Net Zero Careers Accelerator (NZCA) is dedicated to advancing careers that make a tangible impact on environmental sustainability and the green economy. Our mission is to connect talent with meaningful roles that support a low carbon future. We are recruiting a Community Liaison Officer (CLO) to support construction and regeneration projects across South London. This role will be the key link between project teams, local residents, clients, and community stakeholders, ensuring that construction projects deliver meaningful social value while minimising disruption to local communities. Key responsibilities include acting as the main point of contact for local residents and community stakeholders, managing relationships, resolving concerns, and responding to complaints effectively. You will deliver presentations and assemblies in local schools to promote careers in construction, attend site meetings to monitor progress and provide community feedback, work collaboratively with construction teams to minimise disruption and ensure positive outcomes, maintain accurate records of engagement and communications, and represent the company professionally at all times.

Requirements

Experience
Previous experience in community liaison, resident liaison, or similar roles is essential. Experience in construction, regeneration, or housing is preferred.

About you
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confidence in handling complaints and conflict resolution. Understanding of social value and S106 commitments. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable delivering presentations to schools and community groups. Flexible and responsive to the needs of projects.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are stated as mandatory; however, relevant experience and skills in community engagement and construction-related environments are highly valued.
