About the Role
The Community Staff Nurse will play a vital role in preparing and administering vaccines safely and competently, adhering to professional accountability and Trust/national standards. You will assess and engage professional judgement to ensure that parent/carer consent is informed, in accordance with national and local policy/guidelines. Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous documentation is essential for timely and effective communication, in line with local and NMC code. You will ensure confidentiality in accordance with policy and demonstrate an understanding of specific issues relating to children and families. Additionally, you will undertake interventions as delegated by the Immunisation Coordinator, such as immunisations and health promotion advice. It is crucial to be aware of deviations from the norm in health and behaviour and to intervene to protect vulnerable children through prompt action, referral, and collaboration with colleagues and agencies as part of a specialist team. Experience
Previous experience in a nursing role is preferred, particularly in immunisation or child health.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration. Additional qualifications in child health or immunisation are desirable.
