About the Role
The Financial Times is seeking a bright, numerate financial journalist to join Investors Chronicle, the investment magazine and website. In this role, you will produce in-depth news, analysis and commentary on quoted companies and the wider investment industry. You will turn company reports and technical subject matter into lively, opinionated content tailored for a retail investor audience. Your work will include news, results analysis, podcasts, comment and features, helping to inform readers about companies and sector trends.

You will interview FTSE 100 chief executives, finance directors, equity analysts and fund managers, contributing a wide range of articles on a daily, weekly and longer-term basis. Your content will be fresh, actionable, agenda-setting and authoritative, catering to sophisticated investors while remaining accessible to newer ones. You will collaborate closely with the companies and news desks, participate in content planning meetings, and contribute to reader engagement initiatives such as podcasts and webinars. Working with the digital editor, you will help grow online audiences and enhance reader engagement.

Requirements

Experience
Relevant experience in corporate writing and/or financial analysis is essential. Previous experience of equity markets and investment is a clear advantage.

About you
You will have strong analytical skills to interpret financial statements and draw well-argued conclusions. Excellent writing skills are required to transform technical subject matter into lively, opinionated copy for a retail investor audience. An interest in the corporate world and investment is essential.

Qualifications
